Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said that whenever a diplomatic path has opened, or a process has moved toward a meaningful outcome, as with the Islamabad MoU, the United States has derailed it.

He said Tehran views every diplomatic process with great caution. “The ball is now in America’s court,” he added, stressing that Iran’s demands have been clearly stated.

Baqaei said no agreement would be reached unless the U.S. naval blockade is lifted and Iran’s legitimate demands are addressed.

He added that Iran’s seven-point proposal has been condensed and could now be implemented within just two days, depending on the U.S. response.

Israeli Regime Is Source of Insecurity in Region

Baqaei said the humanitarian situation facing displaced Palestinians in Gaza is catastrophic as winter approaches, warning that the international community has become increasingly desensitized to the crisis.

He stressed that every life lost means a human life destroyed, and cited a recent report by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry documenting atrocities in Gaza and indicating that the genocide is continuing.

Baqaei also said the International Criminal Court is facing pressure from the United States because it has brought charges against Israeli regime perpetrators.

Iran Will Not Agree to Transfer Enriched Uranium Abroad

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said the U.S. is continuing its war against Iran through a naval blockade and increased economic pressure, adding that Tehran is prepared for any other eventuality.

Asked whether Iran might agree to the transfer of its enriched uranium out of the country, Baqaei gave a clear answer: “No.”

Iran’s Demands Are Reasonable Path to Restoring Security in the Persian Gulf

The Iranian diplomat said exchanges of messages between Tehran and Washington through mediators, including Qatar, are continuing. He added that Iran’s legitimate demands have long been conveyed to the U.S. in a reasonable framework.

Baqaei said Washington cannot claim concern over security in the Strait of Hormuz while maintaining its economic blockade against Iran, abandoning commitments accepted under the Islamabad understanding and expecting Tehran to accept obligations unilaterally.

Such an arrangement, he warned, would amount to a one-sided deal that could not be sustained.

Baqaei said Iran’s insistence on implementing its demands is not merely a matter of national interest; it is also a reasonable approach aimed at helping restore security for the international community, the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf region.

Economy, Energy; Main Issues of Iranian FM’s Visit to Turkmenistan

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said relations with neighboring countries, including those in Central Asia and the Caucasus, have always been important and continue to grow.

Referring to the participation of the Foreign Ministry’s economic deputy and officials from the Oil Ministry in the visit to Turkmenistan, Baqaei said talks will focus on various areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly economic, trade, and energy ties.

He expressed hope that the visit would help expand economic exchanges between Iran and Turkmenistan.

Targeting Source of Aggression Is Iran’s Legitimate Right Under Article 51 of UN Charter

Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran’s position on targeting certain locations in neighboring countries is clear and grounded in international law.

He noted that some regional countries have denied involvement and criticized Iran’s defensive actions. However, their claim that they cannot control U.S. military bases on their territory raises questions about the exercise of their national sovereignty.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that Iran reserves its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. He said targeting bases and facilities used by aggressors to attack Iran, kill civilians and destroy civilian infrastructure is entirely defensive in nature and should not be regarded as an attack on neighboring countries.

He expressed hope that regional neighbors would draw lessons from recent developments and prevent their airspace, land, or waters from being used for aggression against the Iranian people, warning that otherwise Iran would be entitled to defend itself decisively.
